In these days, the color dial is trendy and this model, supported by the generous golden light, wears the Himalaya watch, created in 1954, beyond a refined and light profile. The Lip brand has always associated its creations with the strengths of reliability, robustness, quality and performance, but Lip has also underlined its innovations by the elegance of a well-dressed wrist.
A French History
The Himalaya model was born from a discussion between Fred Lip, a mountain enthusiast, and his friend Lionel Terray, a mountain guide. Maurice Herzog, a friend of Fred Lip, also contributed greatly to the success of this watch. Maurice Herzog was the first climber to climb the Annapurna. The Himalaya watch symbolizes its extraordinary performance. The identity of this watch originates from the mountain range that shelters the highest peaks of the world: HIMALAYA. It has thus marked the history. Indeed, the advertisements of 1959 declared that it had been chosen by nine out of ten of "Great" mountaineers for its astonishing resistance to elements and shocks. Associated with many sporting events, "she equipped all expeditions", including the Tour de France where she rewarded the best sportsman of the day.
